The first edition of the ‘SER Mujeres’ Business Roundtable (Wise, Entrepreneurial, and Resilient), led by Building Markets in collaboration with the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and the Nasdaq Foundation, brought together 100 women entrepreneurs from Bogotá and Cundinamarca. The event generated a total of 400 million pesos in sales and business opportunities and included the participation of 20 partner organizations across Latin America. During the event, 50 business meetings were held, 37 in person and 13 virtually, strengthening commercial exchanges and network building.
The discussion panels addressed topics such as women’s empowerment and inclusive competitiveness, with representatives from companies like Coca-Cola Femsa, Constructora Bolívar, and Bancamía sharing their experiences on the importance of fostering inclusive procurement and incorporating MSMEs into their value chains. Additionally, renowned national and international speakers, such as Deisy Rúa, María Alejandra Echeverry, and artist Martina La Peligrosa, delivered talks on female leadership, personal growth, and perseverance.
Carolina Durán, Director of Building Markets Latin America, highlighted the importance of this event in empowering women entrepreneurs, stating that true success lies in the connections and opportunities created. She also announced that the next edition of the SER Business Roundtable will take place in Cali in March 2025, aiming to continue connecting small businesses with large buyers and strengthening productive social inclusion.
